Firstly thank you for choosing a cruise which brings you to our beautiful island.
Cruise ships offer numerous tours on board and we regularly get enquiries from cruise
ship guests. We have listed below some of the most common enquiries we receive
and we hope they answer your questions. If your particular enquiry is not listed, please
do not hesitate to contact us directly and we will do our best to get back to you
Can we arrange a tour with you directly or must we go through the ship?
We do have contracts with a number of the liners again this year so you might be able
to book on board. However on certain days we also run independent tours with a
similar, but slightly longer, itinerary such as the one listed on the tour page of this
Our ship tells us to book with them, as they are covered by insurance.
We are fully insured and carry the insurance recommended by the cruise ships which
enables us to work with them directly. Local island policies can be much lower with
operators that dont work with the ships, but we are fully covered.
Where do we meet for the tour?
Depending on the day will determine where to meet. More often than not for our
afternoon tour we meet at the Grand Anse beach water taxi dock which is a short
water taxi ride from the cruise ship terminal since that is where most of our guests
have been for the morning. If we are running back-to-back tours with our contracted
excursions we may meet in town at the cruise ship dock. When you make your
booking we will send you a meeting schedule which confirms the date, time, cost and
also where to meet.
The ship says we will get better service and equipment with one of their excursions.
Our aim is to provide excellent service every time so whether you are a cruise ship
excursion or a private tour with us you get the same excellent care and attention. If you
have your own snorkel equipment that's great and feel free to bring it along but just in
case you don't all our equipment is new and top of the range.
I don't like crowded tours.
Unlike the large 50+ capacity catamarans that offer sail & snorkel excursions we seat
a maximum of 12 people which means we can be more focussed on your needs and
also ensure that you have a great time. Although we only seat 12 it doesn't mean we
are a tiny boat...we have ample room on board and we are coastguard approved.
Our seats are a mix of x10 jockey seats which allow you a safe, comfortable ride and
for those that have small children we also have a bench seat. If you would like the boat
to yourself or want to share it with some friends then ask about our private charters.
They tell us if we get back late the ship will leave us behind!
The most common concern is that you will miss your ship and be stuck in Grenada.
Our afternoon tour normally ends at 4pm but if your ships leaves before this then let us
know and we will see what we can do to accomodate you. We drop you right back at
your ship. As you can see from the picture the drop-off point at the water taxi dock is
right next to your ship which leaves you plenty of time to do a little last minute
shopping, go though security and be safely back on board before your ship departs
our shores. We take our responsibility very seriously and have made contingency
plans for every situation we can think of. Our tour operates on the sheltered West
coast of Grenada and we are never further than about 5 miles from the cruise ship
terminal. From the furthest point of the tour we can get back to the dock in less than 8
minutes. About 45 minutes before the end of the tour we start heading back towards
the cruise ship terminal and we actually pass it as we head into the inner harbour
(Carenage) and lagoon for some sightseeing so we are always able to get you back
to the dock right on time. We have two engines so a complete breakdown is very
unlikely, but as en extra precaution we have back up boats on standby ready to assist
We like to think that we offer the very best service so we will also offer you some
information about Grenada and her people and some ideas about how to fill your time
here on island before/after your tour with us.
If there is anything you would like to know that we have not managed to cover above or
on other pages, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will get back to your right
We hope that we will be able to welcome you on board our tour and in the mean-time
we wish you a wonderful cruise!
